I have compiled a few notes that I hope birders will find useful and perhaps interesting. One is a list of Nearctic passerines recorded in the Western Palearctic. The second describes the circumstances surrounding the first occurrence of species within the Western Palearctic from 1800 to 2022. Finally there are two lists of references that replace 27 family specific lists previously available through this page, with one covering passerines and the other non-passerines. These will be updated from time to time as additional data becomes available. As ever I am very grateful to Dutch Birding for making these lists available on their website.
