Ontving net wat verder info:
After looking in our archive we can inform you as follows: Our zoo received the first Purpurgrackel on November 8th 1972 from the crew of a trawler "ROS 408 - Herbert Baum". This bird died on March 17th 1973.
A new bird we got also from the crew of a transport ship, "ROS319 - Lütten Klein", on December 7th 1973. And finally we received two birds on November 16th 1974, also of a crew of a ship ("ROS312 - Bodo Uhse").
The highest live stock were three birds. Referring to our archive we didn't had any breeding success in this species. According to our inventory lists, we held this birds until 1990. Within this year the last animal died.
